About Forster Farms

Today we are focused on producing high performing cattle that will excel in the feedlot and can also in the show ring. Over the years we have always used some of the top Simmental, Angus, and Red Angus sires in each respective breed. The matings we choose are used to pair the best maternal with performance. Over the years we have used E.T. and recently have started flushing some of our best bloodlines in our herd.

We feel that good cattle are able to excel without being pampered. Our cows run on large (some very steep) pastures in South Central Nebraska. All of our pastures are within 10 miles of the Farm at Smithfield. During the winter our cows run on corn stalks from mid November until Spring when they are turned back onto grass. Very little extra feed is given to the cows until they are almost ready to calve and they breed right back year after year.

Forster Farms is located just 15 minutes south I-80 at the Lexington Nebraska exit. Visitors are always welcome! Feel free to reach out to us and stop by to see the cattle.
